Day 1 – Cairo

Arrival to Cairo airport, assistance and transportation to your hotel. Free day and finally accommodation.

DAY 2 – CAIRO (Giza pyramid city)

Breakfast. Full day visit in which we include the famous pyramids of Cheops (the largest of the last three), Kefren and Menkaure (entrance to inside the pyramids is not included), as well as the impressive Sphinx, following that will be a visit the Papyrus Institute where the artisanal way of making papyrus will be shown.

Lunch then we head of Memfis and Sakkara, where the first pyramid in the world is located, the stepped pyramid, after that we will return to the hotel.

At night you can attend the light and sound show in the pyramids (optional).

Day 3

Breakfast followed by a visit to the Egyptian museum with its millenary art and where the treasures of the tomb of Tutankhamun is kept. Lunch, then we visit the citadel of Saladin which is surrounded by an impressive wall and inside which is the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali.

You will also visit to the Coptic quarter where you can find the oldest Churches in the world, then we head towards the grand bazar of khan el-khalili.

DAY 4 – CAIRO-LUXOR (Valley of the Kings)

Breakfast early in the morning then we head to the airport to take the scheduled flight to Luxor. After arrival and moving to the boat for boarding and accommodation procedures, we continue the day by a visit to the Valley of the Kings, where tombs of the main pharaohs of the new kingdom are found, the visit will accompanied with explanations from the outside (Entering the tombs are not allowed), the Tomb of King Tutankhamun is not included since all the treasures are in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.

After that we go by the Colossi of the Memnon, two impressive statues of Amenophis II, and then we visit the temple of Queen Hatshepsut on the way. Finally, we return to the boat for a full board accommodation.

DAY 5 – LUXOR (Karnak) – EDFU

Full board stay. In the morning we visit the temples of Luxor (dedicated to the God Amon-Ra. God of the Sun) and Karnakm both of which are an Impressive set of temples and sacred lakes. After that we Navigate to Edfu to visit of the temple of Horus (god represented by a falcon), one of the most beautiful temple of the Ptolemaic era found in an exceptional state of preservation. Finally, accommodation on board.

DAY 6 – EDFU – KOM OMPO – ASWAN

Full board stay. We start the day by Navigation to kom ombo to visit it’s temple, the only temple in the country dedicated for two gods, Sobek and Haroesis. We will observe the Nilometer (ancient system for measuring the level of the Nile River) and some mummified crocodiles displayed in the museum of crocodiles.

After that we sail to Aswan. At night you can enjoy the shopping cheaply in the local markets where you can djellaba. Finally, accommodation on board.

DAY 7 – ASWAN – CAIRO

Breakfast early in the morning, after that and for those who wants to have the optional excursion by plane to the Abu-Simbel temple, which was rescued from the waters from Lake of Nasser after it was created (it is better to organize this on arrival in Egypt).

Disembarkation and visit of Aswan quarry with the unfinished obelisk, Which shows us how the ancient Egyptians worked the carving of obelisks, following that is the Aswan dam, one of the largest dams in the world. Finally, a felucca ride in a typical sailing boats in the area.

After finishing the day program we head to the airport and departure on a regular line flight to Cairo. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free. Accommodation.

DAY 8 – CAIRO

Breakfast. Free time until the time of transfer to the airport to board on the flight to your destination. End of our services.

WITH Alexandria

DAY 8 Cairo – Alexandria

Breakfast then Departure to the Mediterranean coast through the valley of wadi-natrun and towards the legendary city of Alexandria. The city was founded by Alexander the great and was known for its great library, the largest in the ancient world and for one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, its lighthouse  which was located on the island of pharos.

Touring the city will start by visiting the new library of Alexandria, opened in 2003. After that we visit pompey pillar and the Catacombs of kom El-Shokafa, the roman cemetery which mixes the pharaonic and roman art in a fascinating way. Finally, we visit the Roman amphitheater with its 13 semicircular white marble tiers.

Return to Cairo for Accommodation.

DAY 9 – CAIRO

Breakfast. Free time until the time of transfer to Cairo airport to board your flight marking the end of our services.
